Glass Aficionado 2007 end of year issue - RELEASED 1/22/08

I'm sure many of you have been waiting for this issue, well, we have too!  Thank you all for being patient as we get past the holiday season, which slowed things down, and overcome publication challenges.

All content for the end of year issue is now in and we are ready to prepare it for publication. Currently, the release date is 1/21/08.

Roor USA reopens

In the midst of many rumors and questions, Roor USA has announced that they have officially reopened.

The news came to us just moments ago, first hand from Roor USA, who stated that the closing their doors was due to a restructuring of their organization.

Roor USA also announced that from here forward, all their tubes (except forest green labels) will come stock with reinforced bistable joints and a new crown logo.

Toro temporarily not taking custom orders

Until further notice, Toro has announced that they will not be taking custom orders.

Announcements

10/01/07 - New home page layout

Instead of having our home page reflect the cover of each month's magazine, we've decided to use what you see now as the permanent layout. This should help with branding, navigation, search engine placement and add a new dynamic to our site.

The forum quick links (right column) will soon be updated in real time.

6/01/07 - The lost issues of Glass Aficionado Magazine

Although we've released (to date) seven issues, you'll notice that only two past issues are currently available for viewing. This is due to the unfortunate critical system failure we experienced in June, which brought down our entire network, corrupted everything, including all backups and forced us to basically start over.

Luckily we kept local copies of each issue, though they are in a raw format and need to be re-authored for the web. As time permits, we'll restore all the back issues of the magazine and make them available online again.
